"The story of history's greatest manhunt for the world's most dangerous man".. truly indeed. Directed by Katherine Bigelow, the film engages its audience from the start till the credits at the end. The power packed performance of the lead protagonist Maya (played by Jessica Chastain), along with the strong dialogues gives an adrenaline rush to the viewers.
Osama Bin Laden, a man and a topic talked upon, feared and finally conquered is shown in an aspect which makes this movie an engaging suspense thriller. The entire search operation, tortures and killings well researched is well portrayed. And to top it all a female protagonist leading the search for the most dreaded villain of the 21st century leaves the female lot feeling superior and fearless. Exclusion of unnecessary action in the screenplay make it a well written and neat one and directly hits the audiences mind.
The most captivating element of the movie was indeed the sound-editing (completely justifies the Oscar). It adds to even the surprise elements present in the film, especially in the part when Jessica (played by Jennifer Ehle) waits for her source to meet in the Cia Black Site and a suicide bomber arrives bombing the entire place literally made me jump out of my seat.
Not an absolute fan of action movies, but Zero Dark Thirty shares the space with MI4 for the power packed action movie list of mine!!! I'm definitely a fan now!!
